LEON ABOOD, CRS

Leon has been a resident of Martin County for over 25 years. Specializing in the marketing of luxury real estate and waterfront properties since 1984, he offers the ultimate in enthusiastic, personalized, professional service. His goal is to make every real estate endeavor a rewarding and pleasant experience for his clients.
A proven leader, Leon was named the RAMC Realtor of the Year in 1998, as a measure of his integrity. Leon has served on the Realtor Association of Martin County’s Board of Directors, served as its Secretary/Treasurer and was the Association President for 2004. In 2004, Leon was presented with the first Community Service Award to recognize Realtors who make an exceptional contribution to improve the quality of life in our community.
Leon Abood’s real estate credentials range from local to international. He holds the industry’s highest professional designation – CRS (Certified Residential Specialist). Unique Homes featured him as one of the top real estate professionals in U.S. and Who’s Who in Residential Real Estate named him as one of the most successful real estate professionals in North America.
Currently, Leon is chairman of the highly respected Rivers Coalition, a 49-member organization of business, environmental and civic groups working to protect and restore the health of the St. Lucie River Estuary and the Indian River Lagoon, our areas precious natural resources. He says, “protecting the environment is not only essential for our quality of life, it’s vital for our economic progress as well.” The Rivers Coalition represents over 200,000 Floridians.
Leon was asked to form the first Healthy Environment-Healthy Economy Task Force for the Florida Association of Realtors, which led to FAR establishing a state-wide water quality policy; the first of it’s kind. Most recently, Leon was selected to receive the “Conservationist of the Year” award, by the Conservation Alliance of St. Lucie County in 2007, in recognition of outstanding efforts dedicated to the restoration of the St. Lucie River and the Indian River Lagoon. Leon was also, appointed by National Association of Realtors and The Florida Association of Realtors as a “key contact” to Congress for his commitment to both his community and the clients he serves.
Recently, Leon was presented with the 2007 Distinguished Service Award from the Realtors Association of Martin County.
A native New Yorker, Leon enjoys music, sport fishing, traveling, and cooking.
